Legal Dictionary: Sexual Harassment
Sexual harassment occurs most often in the employment setting, and is considered to be a form of sex discrimination under the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Sexual harassment can take the form of unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature. There are two different types of sexual harassment claims: "quid pro quo" and "hostile work environment" claims.
